Below is a step-by-step tutorial for sending a custom note with your inspection photos or videos. We also show an excellent new "shortcut feature" for including an estimate.
Step #1: Log into your Private Dashboard.
In your welcome e-mail, you were provided with a user name and password for the ClearMechanic Private Dashboard. The URL for your Private Dashboard is in the format "www.clearmechanic.com/yourshopname/dashboard". Go ahead and log in.
Step #2: In your Private Dashboard, search for the Repair Order to be sent to the customer.
Use the search filters in the Private Dashboard to find the Repair Order with the photo or video to be removed from your website. You can search by Repair Order number, as we have done in the screenshot below, or search by repair type, date, user name and so on.
Step #3: Select the "Repair Details" link (the one with the magnifying glass icon) to view additional communication options and details for this RO.
Step #4: Select the "Send with Custom Note" button.
Step #5: Type a custom note and press the "Send" button.
Note our "shortcut button" called "Provide Estimate," which automatically creates the template for an estimate with one click.
You're done! Your inspection photos have been sent to the customer along with your personal note. Here is what it looks like to the customer.
