Our "Activity Log" feature tracks and documents all ClearMechanic activity, including inspection uploads, photo uploads, video uploads, sent e-mails, sent text messages and more.
This serves two purposes:
1) Internal: monitor utlization of ClearMechanic by your employees and team members with precision.
2) External: provide documentation for legal and insurance purposes.
For example, a ClearMechanic client in Mexico was recently sued by a customer who alleged the client never recommended a tire replacement (the tire later malfunctioned). The ClearMechanic client was able to show photos of the customer's tire taken through ClearMechanic and timestamped by our servers, which persuaded the customer to drop the lawsuit. By our client's estimate, this saved at least $5,000 in possible damages and legal fees.
