ClearMechanic Reaches New Milestones: 10,000 Technicians, $25 Million of Service Volume
Company announces over 100% growth in last three months of 2012
San Francisco, CA – (December 19, 2012) ClearMechanic, provider of “visual selling” solutions to automotive service centers, announced it has reached new growth milestones. ClearMechanic now has over 10,000 technicians and service personnel on its platform and has supported over $25 million of service volume. The company’s base of registered users grew over 100% in the previous three months.

ClearMechanic’s visual selling service enables technicians and service employees to take real-time vehicle photos or video clips of a customer’s vehicle and instantly share them via e-mail and text message. ClearMechanic also posts photos and video clips to the service center’s website in real time and stores them permanently for follow-up marketing and warranty purposes.
ClearMechanic attributes the company’s growth in registered technicians to two primary factors. First, ClearMechanic is a ‘mobile-first’ solution that is specifically designed to capitalize on the rising adoption of smartphones. Hite notes that, “Other companies have developed mobile applications as extensions of existing desktop or web software, which often hurts the mobile experience.”
Second, ClearMechanic is the only major company to create iPhone and Android applications targeted specifically at automotive service centers.
